Today I was reminded that I love an NPR show called 'This American Life' and unfortunately I never get to hear it. It's always on while I'm at work and my work has blocked everything and anything that has streaming audio, video, podcasts, etc. etc. etc. So I'm just not being able to hear it...until NOW! I'm not sure why I never realized they have a Podcast, so I'll be downloading them and listening to them as much as I can. Probably not during my 1/2 marathon though. I'll need a little bit of upbeat music for that.

Speaking of 1/2 Marathon, it's this Sunday. 'Cakes and I went to the Rec Center today. She was on the elliptical for about an Hour and 15 minutes. I did the treadmill for a good 45 minutes. My legs felt better. I guess it was the compression pants that were restricting me.

I'm super excited, tomorrow my new Wide Angel lens for my Nikon D80 is coming in. I can't wait to play around with it. I've been asked to take some fun photos for a friend's wedding. So I need to get a bit more familiar with my Digital. I'm certainly glad I'm not their only photographer. I wouldn't want that gig again. It's way to much pressure and way to much stress. No thank you.

Today's photo was taken a couple of months ago in our backyard. We need to get rid of that Wheelbarrow...it's a breeding ground for mosquitoes in the summer.

'Cakes and I just got back from the Oceanfront. We went for a run on the boardwalk. I had my new compression pants on. Woo...I feel good now, but during the run was tough. My legs felt so tired and my back had a sharp pain. I was a hot mess. I hope I survive the 1/2 Marathon this weekend. Oh my. This isn't going to be pretty.

Did I mention how much I love my new mouse? Man...it's lovely.

I forgot to mention that the ladies and I watched a train wreck of a movie this weekend, called 'The Room'. It was so horrible, but we couldn't turn away from it. We only saw a couple of scenes of the movie to just get a taste of it. Oh my...I need to watch the whole thing. Apparently there's a cult following of this movie. The website lands on a face of a dude that looks super creepy. He kind of looks a bit like Frankenstein...and in the movie he kind of acts like him. Totally ridiculous.

Today's photo was taken during my trip to San Francisco. There was a park behind the Moscone Center that had a lovely water feature memorial.

I love my new Mac Magic Mouse. It is awesome! No more annoying dirty track ball! It's like Magic! Love it, love it, love it.

I'm not a fan of this time change thing. I woke up late and was in 5th gear most of the morning, trying to get ready for work. All I know is, I needs to get off this computer so I can get to bed and read a couple of pages before I pass out. I've been working on a new web layout for a friend's web business. I think it's about time I stop and take a break.

Today's photo was taken two weekends ago. We were on our way to the Stove Restaurant for my birthday dinner, where we were going to meet up with our other friends. We were stopping at a red light, when all of a sudden I noticed something from the corner of my eye. Someone coolly pulled up next to us and slowly turned their head towards our car. It took me half a minute to figure out what and who it was. As I sat confused...I started putting pieces of the puzzle together and then turned toward 'Gus and said... 'Is that Macy?!' Yes...yes it was.

What a weekend. I'm tired and it's really late and we're losing an hour of sleep. Why am I still awake? Oh I know...my sister wanted her website updated. Well, it's out of my hands now. 'Gus is doing her handy work on it now. Tag-team.

The ladies and I were invited to a night of Bunco. I've never heard of the game, so of course I was nervous. I didn't want to suck entirely at the game. 'Cakes was really getting in to the game. She was yelling and cussing along with the other fine ladies. And as usual, 'Gus was talking her smack. Needless to say we had a great time.

Saturday morning I was a zombie. It took everything I had to climb out of bed. It was not easy...I'm afraid I'm getting old. Eventually I got motivated enough to meet my bud, Macy, out a the batting cage. Neither one of us has hit the softball for many years. What a blast! We're looking forward to do it again. Again we're showing our age. I had to have some Tiger Balm rubbed on my shoulders and a band-aid on my thumb from a blister. Macy's in a lot more pain that I am. Poor thing.

Today's photo was taken during my trip to San Francisco. This is another shot of the Exploratorium.

Today was Cheeky's 14th Birthday! Yay! We took her on a long walk, gave her some extra yum yums and gave her extra TLC. She's napping in her little bed now.

There's only about a week left until my first half marathon. (It's 'Cakes first half also.) We went to Running Etc after work today and I got almost a whole new running outfit. All I wanted to get was some new sneakers and compression pants, but I got way more. My new shoes feel AWESOME! What a huge difference! I hope my feet sing during my run next Sunday.

Today's photo was taken a couple of weeks ago. It's just Cheeky and Giuseppe looking adorable.

Went and looked at some furniture today. We found a lovely sofa that we're happy with! Now we just need to wait for the tax money to come back to us.

Wow, I can't really think of a thing to write about today. I am hungry and my dinner is waiting for me, so I'll keep it short. Allergies are kicking my butt. Lots of sneezing going on. Woo!

Today's photo was taken during my trip to San Francisco. This was on the side of the Conference Center that held the Macworld Expo. 'Gus, yesterdays photo was taken with black and white film that has more of a warm tone to it. I scanned it in color to keep the warmness! Yah!

Thank you ladies for a lovely surprise Birthday Carrot Cake after my workout today. It was delicious! MmmmHmmmm! Yum Yum Yum! Maybe I'll have another piece tomorrow. I thought about sharing the cake with my office folks...but I'm not sure. It's so yummy.

I'm extremely tired right now. I can barely keep my eyes open. I guess that's a sign I need to go hit the hay.

I need to stretch. 'Cakes and I did a 4 mile run tonight. Well, I'm hoping it was a 4 mile run. Our 1/2 Marathon is in 2 weeks. The back of my legs feel awfully tight. It must be my age...nah, I just need to stretch. Speaking of age, I'm a year older tomorrow/today. I guess today, since this doesn't post until the morning.

'Gus informed me she got a Goldfrapp single in her new Paste Magazine. This excites me, as I am a huge fan of Ms. Goldfrapp. This means Goldfrapp has a new album coming out! I checked iTunes tonight and sure enough, March 23rd is the release date. Nice.

I'm not looking forward to getting up early to go to work tomorrow. The weekend just went by to fast.

Saturday Night my lovely friends and I went out to dinner for an early birthday get together. We made the trek to Portsmouth, Virginia to dine at Stove. What a cute little restaurant and the food was excellent! Although...my steak was way beyond bloody. Woo. I only ate a few pieces and took the rest home. The Cheese plate was gorgeous and so was the dessert! All in all everyone seemed to enjoy the restaurant.

My lovely friends gave me a couple of gift cards, so this morning I ran over to Home Depot and got a saw and drill set AND some silver light switch plates. Looks so sharp. We need to save some money and get the Outlet plates to match now. I love home improvement jobs. Ms. 'Cakes got me a lovely gift certificate to a running store. I need to hurry up and get my butt down there, so I can have some new shoes for my 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks. Yikes!

Today's photo was taken a month ago during our snow storm with the new lens adapter Ms. 'Cakes got for me!
