Busy weekend. 'Cakes and I worked on the apartment some more. It's looking better and better every day, but I'll be glad when we're done. 'Cakes and I were stopped by some man in front of the Laundromat Saturday. He asked us for some money to go buy food, and he promised he was only going to buy food because he's got low blood sugar. I said... Ok, I'll go get you some food and bring it back. I got him a bagel and banana and a bottle of water. I don't think he really truly appreciated my efforts, he seemed annoyed with the gifts I brought him. Maybe next time I'll just get him a bottle of gin.
I called Mini Road Side Service to help me with Alice. She's is in a bad way. Bless her little heart. Well the man came to help me get her started and he tried jumping her and stuff with no luck... but after a few more tries, we got her started. Ahh...music to my ears. Anyway, 'Gus and I figured we'd better get her off to the dealership for them to take a look at her. She followed behind me with her car. I was worried the whole time because my engine sounded like it would cut out any second. But 20 minutes later, we made it to the dealership in one piece. I found a parking spot, put her in reverse to back up and blaaaah. Alice died. 'Gus had to push her in to the parking spot. Good thing she has Lighting and Thunder on her side...Alice is one heavy son of a... when she doesn't have power steering.
I'll be making a phone call to Mini tomorrow morning to let them know what's up.
Today's photo is from Boston, Massachusetts's Chinatown. 'Gus and I went there for the HOW Design Conference back in May. It was a lot of fun. Anyway, we decided to make a trip to Chinatown to get some tasty Chinese food. We found this all vegetarian restaurant...it was interesting. This is a photo of Ms. 'Gus. This is in honor of her strength and valor of pushing little Ms. Alice when she was down and out this weekend. Thank you Ms. 'Gus. You are my hero.
